This class will explore methods of hand building and wheel throwing to create many lidded items such as jars, butter dishes, and casserole dishes, among others. We will explore many different ways of building that can be applied to many other forms in the ceramic process. Ideally when choosing to take this class you are fairly comfortable on the pottery wheel and have fair knowledge of hand building and we will work to fill in the rest.
Class includes a bag of clay ($40 value). If you can help offset this cost please add “Class Clay – Pay What You Can” to your order.
Classes also include ample access to the studio during posted open studio hours. Ceramics is an art form that benefits from practice and social time outside of class time.
Refunds will not be given within one week of the beginning of class. A $25 processing fee will be retained from any refund. If a class must be cancelled due to low enrollment, a full refund will be given.
