Shannon Gallagher
10 Tuesdays 6pm-9pm
January 7 – March 11
$450, $425 with Early Bird registration before November 14
In this introductory ceramics class you will learn the basic skills needed to create beautiful objects for your kitchen, with your own personal flair. You will learn what clay is, how it works, the basic tools of a clay studio, and how to use them. Weekly demonstrations in both the potter’s wheel and hand-building techniques, along with personalized attention, will allow you to complete multiple pieces while also getting you hooked on clay in a friendly, non competitive environment.
*All classes include 25 pounds of clay, and the glazing and firing of those 25#. Additional clay may be purchased if needed. Beginner tool kits may be purchased for $24 plus tax ($25.50).
Classes also include ample access to the studio during posted open studio hours. Ceramics is an art form that benefits from practice and social time outside of class time.
Refunds will not be given within one week of the beginning of class. A $25 processing fee will be retained from any refund. If a class must be cancelled due to low enrollment, a full refund will be given.
