January 6 -March 10
$450, $425 with Early Bird registration by November 14

This class will focus on using hand-building techniques; slab, coil, and pinch, to make serving ware. In this class we will create functional pieces to serve different foods and drinks using hand-building techniques. This may also include accessories, such as cups or ladles to aide in the making or serving of a particular meal or beverage. There will be an emphasis on designing for function.

Students will help guide the direction of the class by creating a menu on the first class. We will start with berry bowls and platters and perhaps work our way over to the perfect margarita pitcher. We will plan on celebrating our last class with a potluck served on pieces made in class.

You will get the most out of this class if you have some familiarity with working with clay.

*All classes include 25 pounds of clay, and the glazing and firing of those 25#. Additional clay may be purchased if needed.

Classes also include ample access to the studio during posted open studio hours. Ceramics is an art form that benefits from practice and social time outside of class time.

Refunds will not be given within one week of the beginning of class. A $25 processing fee will be retained from any refund. If a class must be cancelled due to low enrollment, a full refund will be given.
