This guided “open studio” style class allows ceramists with varied interests and skill levels to hone their craft in a collaborative setting. Whether you are an advanced beginner, or you are a seasoned professional, this class will grant you access to asking questions and receiving personalized instruction from a ceramic artist with years of professional making and teaching experience and deep knowledge of the material. Bring a plan, idea or inspiration to class, and we will work on getting you from point A to point B. Demonstrations are guided by student requests, and you can sit in on as many or as few as you wish.
You will get the most out of this class, and contribute the most to your peers if you have some familiarity with working with clay.
All classes include 25 pounds of clay, and the glazing and firing of those 25# though we encourage you to pay what you can for this material, as costs continue to rise. You will be given an option to pay what you wish upon checkout. Additional clay may be purchased if needed. Classes also include ample access to the studio during posted open studio hours. Ceramics is an art form that benefits from practice and social time outside of class time.
Refunds will not be given within one week of the beginning of class. A $25 processing fee will be retained from any refund. If a class must be cancelled due to low enrollment, a full refund will be given.
